Dan McAlister shows
This BBC trained radio producer was the first journalist to have a podcast in the Middle East. He joins Slice Audio every week to present an eceletic mix of music, contemporary and older.
How did you get involved in music?
I played in a few bands growing up and I got into music through my dad and my cousin.
How did you get involved in broadcasting?
I contacted Belfast89fm and after about a year of shadowing they let me have my own show. Before I got my own show I contacted Slice Audio through another station called Reverse FM as I was still looking for my own show. This resulted in both a show on Slice Audio and 89fm.

I was the first to interview Kirk McCambley on BBC Evening Extra on Radio Ulster.
I was a journalist in Dubai.
How do you go about making your programme?
I gather a list throughout the week of what I’ve listened to and then usually cram my weekend with sorting what to play and recording.

Podcasts, radio, live shows.
Away from your show, what else do you do that you enjoy?
Football and taekwondo.
